本模块以“问题”为话题，围绕这这一主题，通过不同形式呈现并讨论一些与学生们生活学习密切相关的话题，以及这个年龄段的学生可能遇到的一些烦恼。第一单元unite 1，在听力训练中，以tony父母争论他的“拉小提琴的问题”展开听力训练任务，在长对话中，kylie遇到了问题，sally设法帮助她解决。由于听力、对话的内容与学生密切相关，所以学生会有兴趣深入学习，从而达到语言训练的目的。
