【辨析】die from与die of

①die from指由于外伤或不注意的原因而死，原因常来自外部，后常加名词。

eg：His father died from an accident.他父亲死于一次事故。

②die of指死于疾病、衰老、饥饿等，原因多来自内部，后加名词。

eg：He died of sadness.他死于忧伤。

【注意】当表示因病而死亡时，二者可互换使用。

eg：He died from/of cancer.他死于癌症。
