（1）when is+名词所有格+birthday party?用来询问某人的生日聚会是什么时候。Sally's为名词的所有格。名词所有格表示“某人的”，其构成规律为：

①一般在名词词尾直接加“'s”。

如：Li Ming's book李明的书

②若原词已有复数词尾-s,则只是在词尾加 ’。

如：boys' clothes男孩们的衣服

③表示共同拥有时，只在最后一个名词后加“'s”;表示各自拥有时，每个名词后都加“'s”,被拥有的名词是可数名词时，用其复数形式。

如：Jim and Tom's teacher吉姆和汤姆的老师（共同的，一个老师）

Jim's and Tom's teachers吉姆和汤姆各自的老师（各自的，两个老师）

（2）party n.意为“聚会，晚会”。

常用短语：at the party在生日聚会上  have a party举行聚会

4.basketball game篮球比赛（美式）

也可表达为“basketball match”（英式）。
